The cost for this service is set based on a price per units (68 pesos per unit). The amount of units is established according to the distance covered (1 unit per each 100 meters) and/or to the waiting time (1 unit per each 30 seconds waiting). When a taxi is taken, a starting price is charged; currently, it is a minimum charge of 3.400 pesos . It is suggested, for the user´s safety, to call a central dispatch office for taxis and request the service.

Additionally, there are three different extra charges that can cause a price increase. One of them occurs when a route to or from the El Dorado Airport or the Puente Aéreo is carried out; this entails an additional cost of 3.400 pesos. Another one occurs when the service is used during the night (from 8.00pm to 5.00am), during holidays or on Sundays; this entails a 1.600 pesos extra charge. The last one occurs when a call to de central dispatch office for taxis is done to request the service; this entails a 600 pesos extra charge.

From the north

Take Avenida Circunvalar (north - south)

• Continue south until the entrance to Monserrate (Carrera 1). Then turn right and take Calle 22. Continue west on Calle 22 until reaching the Espinoza Park. Enter the University through the Mario Laserna or Carlos Pacheco Devia halls entrances.
• Continue south until reaching Calle 11. Turn right and take Calle 11 until reaching Circunvalar Highway (south –north). Turn right and continue north until reaching the Paseo Bolivar entrance (this parking lot can be used only by people who have an authorization).
• Continue south until reaching Calle 19. Turn right and take Calle 19 until reaching Avenida Cirvunvalar (south – north); Calle 19 is just after the Los Andes Sports Center. Enter the University through the Gata Golosa (only for pedestrians) or Paseo Bolivar (a parking lot can be used only by people who have an authorization) entrances. These entrances are only for students, professors and employees.

Take Carrera 5

• Take the Avenida Circunvalar and continue south. Follow the same directions stated in the previous paragraph.
• Take Carrera 3 and continue south until reaching Avenida 19 roundabout. Follow the roundabout and take Carrera 3 north until Calle 20. Turn right, take Calle 20 and continue east until reaching the Espinosa Park. Get into the Campus through the Mario Laserna, Aulas or Carlos Pacheo Devia halls entrances.

From the west

• Take the Avenida El Dorado (Calle 26) east until reaching Carrera 3. Follow Carrera 3 south until reaching Avenida 19 roundabout. Follow the roundabout and take Carrera 3 north until Calle 20. Turn right, take Calle 20 and continue east until reaching the Espinosa Park. Get into the Campus through the Mario Laserna, Aulas or Carlos Pacheo Devia halls entrances. Currently, the Avenida El Dorados (Calle 26) is having some building work done; it is recommended to make a detour by the Carrera 30, taking the Calle 24 east until Carrera 3.
• Take the Avenida 19 east until it ends at the Carrera 3, in the roundabout. Follow the roundabout and take Carrera 3 north until Calle 20. Turn right, take Calle 20 and continue east until reaching the Espinosa Park. Get into the Campus through the Mario Laserna, Aulas or Carlos Pacheo Devia halls entrances.

From the south

Take the Avenida Caracas or Carrera 10 north until reaching Avenida 19.

• Take the Avenida 19 east until it ends at the Carrera 3, in the roundabout. Follow the roundabout and take Carrera 3 north until Calle 20. Turn right, take Calle 20 and continue east until reaching the Espinosa Park. Get into the Campus through the Mario Laserna, Aulas or Carlos Pacheo Devia halls entrances.

Take Calle 7 east

• Continue until reaching Avenida Circunvalar. Follow the Avenida Circunvalar north until reaching Calle 22 (Monserrate entrance). Then turn left and take Calle 22. Continue west on Calle 22 until reaching the Espinoza Park. Enter the University through the Mario Laserna or Carlos Pacheco Devia halls entrances.
• Continue until reaching Carrera 6 and turn south. Follow Carrera 6 until Calle 6 and turn left. Take Calle 6 east until reaching Carrera 5. Turn left and take Carrera 5 north until Calle 12. Turn right and take Calle 12 east until reaching Carrera 3. Follow Carrera 3 north until reaching the Eje Ambiental. Turn right and continue east until reaching the Espinoza Park. Get into the Campus through the Mario Laserna, Aulas or Carlos Pacheo Devia halls entrances.
